Bangkok

Still alive!

Heh. Funny how the time just flies by. Last time you heard from us, we were just about to leave Singapore and continue our adventure to Kuala Lumpur. We made it without any problems. The bus drive took about 6 hours, give or take.

I don't remember if I wrote here anything about our plans to continue through Malaysia to Thailand by train. But we did say that to some of our friends and families. Our plan was to get the tickets from KL Sentral when our bus arrived, but plans change. We were a little (a lot) tired after this little trip and we just decided to get to our hotel first and then think about getting our tickets. And long story short, God knew what He was doing and didn't let us buy train tickets. We ended up buying plane tickets to Bangkok. Thank you, Lord! Thaaaank Yoooou so much! Travelling is tiring and it would've taken nearly 20 hours by train. And sleeping in a train... Yeah, no. Especially when it's 2nd class, you don't know if you're close to your friends, travelling in a night train for the first time... Of course, it would have been an experience, but I would rather be in a right state of mind when I arrive than a zombie.

So we stayed at Kuala Lumpur for two days. Our hotel wasn't that great, but not bad either. My Hotel @ brickfields was the name. It was located in a pretty interesting neighborhood.

What a lovely view

Kuala Lumpur didn't really impress us. It wasn't anything that we haven't already seen in Hong Kong or Singapore. Just a lot of people, a lot of buildings, a lot of traffic and the weather made you sweat. We don't even have any pictures. This was more like a-reloading-our-batteries visit. We came, we saw.

Let's carry on. So on 19th day we left our hotel and decided to use KL Express, which took us in 30 minutes to the airport.

After 2 hours it was time to land in Bangkok, Thailand. This is officially our last destination. After this we'll be heading towards Finland. Home sweet home. Ahh. But before that we are still going to enjoy everything as much as we can.

Culture here in Thailand took us a while to get used to. Dah. But compared to Hong Kong and Singapore (Malaysia doesn't count because we didn't explore the city that much), Bangkok is something else. Especially the traffic! It's crazy, people, crazy! The ride from the airport alone was an experience :D

Our first destination here was our hotel Mövenpick. And what a hotel it was!

This beautiful hotel room was ours for two days. We visited Terminal 21, which is a shopping mall located near Mövenpick. It took about less than 10 minutes to walk there. This shopping mall was HUGE! And so amazing, because every floor represents a different country/city. I really don't know why we haven't taken more pictures. Right now, I think, we are just enjoying the ride while it still lasts.

At the moment we are staying at Anantara Baan Rajprasong. This is a beautiful hotel. Or serviced suites, I think. It was so weird when we arrived here, because we are not used to being served. They open doors here for you, always greet you and bow. It's so amazing, it's ridiculous. When we asked if we could print a few documents, they asked us to send them in their email and they delivered the documents to our room. I know it probably isn't that big of a deal, but to us this is luxury.

And our suite! Gah! Just look at it.

And we have a pet! This cute little fighting fish. Her name is Viola :)

Here's just a lot of pictures for you.

One word. DELICIOUS

So pretty...
... so good ^^

We have our own kitchen, so it has been amazing to cook our own meals. We have honestly missed cooking. After all, we've been travelling almost for a month now. So being able to cook has been awesome.

And what is better than have a movie night with good friends.

Yesh. We have a DVD player

So that's about it. Nothing much. But we have enjoyed when we can just be and relax. We've started our mornings sitting at our balcony, drinking juice and eating bread with some eggs. Thumbs up.

But! But but but! Tomorrow will be the epic ending to this journey. Tomorrow, ladies and gentleman, we will attend Infinite's Effect Tour here in Bangkok. Squeal! We are hyped to see them and can't wait for their show. Our whole day will be spend near Thunder Dome, because we have to collect our tickets tomorrow at the venue. Uuwaah. We talked about this possibility before we started this trip, but we left everything to God. Because if He didn't want us in this concert, we didn't want to go. But in Hong Kong we suddenly had our tickets. It was funny, because Pia had silently asked God to show us if He wanted us to go. So guess what music we heard in Hong Kong in a store and we saw the word infinite in many locations. And the final sign was when Pia said that if the back row was free, it would mean that it was our place to be. And when earlier every single seat was taken, suddenly there were 3 seats available at the back seat. So yeah. Thank you, God.
